Probation review checklist for the week when your first 90 days need to sound like real work
If your probation review is coming up, the problem is rarely zero work. The problem is scattered proof, vague wording, and not knowing what to pull into the review first.
Use this checklist to gather the strongest proof from your first 30, 60, or 90 days, then choose the smallest paid BragBox step that fits the week you are in.

The probation review checklist
- Open the places where your first-quarter proof actually lives: Slack, tickets, calendar notes, handoff docs, customer messages, and meeting notes.
- Pull out three to five moments where you reduced risk, clarified ownership, sped something up, or made the team less reactive.
- For each one, write the before, what you did, and what changed after you stepped in.
- Add one concrete proof detail: a date, owner, number, customer note, deadline, or link.
- Choose the two or three examples that sound most like the role your manager hired you to do.
- End with one next-step sentence that shows what you are ready to own in the next quarter.
Weak note
I learned the process quickly and supported the team.
Better: I took the open onboarding handoff out of scattered messages, gave each task an owner and date, and made it easier for the team to spot blockers before they turned into late work.
Weak note
I improved communication with customers.
Better: I moved recurring customer updates into one written pattern, which reduced repeat questions and gave support a clearer answer path.
Weak note
I took on more ownership during probation.
Better: I moved from following tasks to shaping the handoff and follow-up loop, which gave the team a steadier process instead of one-off fixes.
What to ask for next
Close with the next level of trust you want: more ownership, a bigger scope, a named process, or a clearer area to run.
If the probation review is close
Do not try to write everything. Pick the top three examples, make the before-action-result pattern clean, and move the meeting-ready version into a sharper template.
If the meeting is this week, skip straight to the £24 prep kit. If you still have a little runway and need help collecting proof first, start with the £17 new job playbook.
